adelphi consult was awarded the 16th German Sustainability Award as a pioneer of the socio-ecological transformation in the "companies" category. With this award, the jury honors the commitment and know-how of the 350 bright minds at adelphi, who have been working worldwide for two decades for transformative change into the post-fossil age.
adelphi consult is the winner of the 16th German Sustainability Prize for Companies. This is Europe's largest award for ecological and social commitment, which is presented by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMUV), the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and WWF Germany to particularly exemplary companies in their industries. adelphi was named this year's winner in the category "auditing and consulting" among renowned competitors (BCG, EY, PWC, KPMG and GIZ).
"Together with our clients and partners, we are enabling transformative change and shaping a sustainable future for generations to come. We are very pleased to receive this award and see it as recognition of our expertise and international commitment over the past two decades. Above all, it is an award for the 350 bright minds at adelphi," said Dr. Constanze Haug, Managing Director of adelphi.
The prestigious competition honors effective contributions in a company's own operations as well as efforts to drive transformation toward a sustainable future through a company's own actions and to set a good example for stakeholders and customers. On November 23, the award will be presented by Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke and Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Düsseldorf, Germany.
In 2023, the German Sustainability Award will be presented for the 16th time to honor pioneering contributions to the transformation toward a sustainable future. It is awarded in close cooperation with the German government as part of the German Sustainability Day and is the best-known and most coveted prize of its kind in Europe. The German Sustainability Award is based on the goals of the 2030 Agenda and thus on the key transformation fields such as climate, supply chains, society, biodiversity and resources. It is part of the German Sustainability Strategy.
The aim of the German Sustainability Award is to promote sustainable development by awarding the prize independently and objectively. Behind the award is the Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis e.V., which acts as an independent body and cooperates with federal ministries, the German Council for Sustainable Development, institutions, organizations and companies.
