With its accession to the world's largest network for corporate responsibility, adelphi aims to promote the dialogue on social responsibility and sustainable development and actively support ongoing processes.
Through its holistic approach involving research, consultancy, and dialogue, adelphi has from the beginning supported the various means to promote corporate responsibility in policies and in the private sector. All members of the UN Global Compact commit to its ten principles on human rights, labour rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption. In addition, every member assures to advance and promote these principles in its sphere of influence and integrate them into their own corporate strategy, corporate culture and daily operations.
More than 5,300 companies from 130 countries and about 2,000 stakeholders from government, civil society and the sciences have joined the international network founded in July 2000. The members of the initiative commit voluntarily to the values of accountability and transparency, and share a common interest in sustainable development. The primary objective of the multi-stakeholder platform is to promote exchanges between the various interest groups and to initiate partnerships that work together to implement the ten guideline principles.
