The Energy Forum will discuss the challenges of and experiences gaines in designing and implementing energy efficiency programms in public buildings. adelphi supports the KfW Development Bank with the event.
Designing energy efficient buildings is paying off, since their average share of the total energy consumption is at almost 40 per cent. Governments and local authorities around the world could not only exploit this to their advantage but also play a leading role for the private sector. Therefore, this year's Energy Forum, hosted by the KfW on 7 and 8 November in Frankfurt/Main will focus on financing opportunities and instruments for energy efficiency actions in public buildings and facilities. Policy makers, government representatives and financing experts will meet with partnering institutions from developing and transitional countries to talk about strategies and framework conditions to promote energy efficiency. One aim is the knowledge exchange between experts from partnering countries of German development cooperation with institutions from Germany. The event will continue the dialogue initiated during the Energy Forum in February 2012.
