Following were the side events being convened by adelphi’s staff and experts:
The event will explore how an effective international climate framework could achieve a greater mitigation outcome than the mere sum of the individual Parties’ contributions. To this end, it will highlight why transfers of emission reduction units and linkages of international climate policy need to be part of a future international climate framework if the world is to achieve the greatest mitigation outcome at the lowest possible cost.

Local climate action is a multi-level challenge. This event is focusing on local pioneers and enabling frameworks and strategies at the sub-national, national and international levels. We will share proceedings of the International Conference on Climate Action (www.ICCA2015.org), synthesized in the "Hanover Declaration: Local Action Driving Transformation". It is highlighting the specific capacities, contributions, potentials and needs of local actors, outlining how to effectively maximize climate action at the local level.
