Daniel Högele leads the IT department at adelphi. As Senior IT System Administrator, he is responsible for planning, installing, and maintaining the entire IT infrastructure. He also functions as a competent adviser on all technical questions.
Daniel possesses more than 20 years of career experience overseeing heterogeneous IT systems and holds a diversity of certifications (including MCSE) pertaining to his broad spectrum of responsibilities. He enjoys complementing Microsoft environments (Active Directory & Exchange) with open-source Linux-based solutions. Security and data protection, especially for publicly accessible systems, have as high a priority for him as comprehensively documenting the system landscape does. Alongside administrating the various content management systems of numerous project websites, he is also responsible for providing technical supporting to the web editors. His tasks also include coordinating the helpdesk and the installation and maintenance of stationary and mobile work stations. As part of adelphi’s project sponsorships, he is also responsible for IT for all branch offices of the working group on emissions trading, of the environmental auditors’ board, and of the International Carbon Action Partnership.
Daniel completed an apprenticeship in IT system electronics at Tixi.Com GmbH in Berlin, and worked there for twelve years as a system administrator and senior consultant. In his function as the contact person for OEM partners from industry and the energy sector, his responsibilities included project development, programming XML/HTML based systems, and 2nd level support. Beyond that, he has conceptualised and realised IT trainings in Germany and abroad.
