Climate Finance

New international mechanisms such as the Green Climate Fund as well as further multilateral and bilateral initiatives offer developing countries and emerging economies the chance to pursue low-carbon and climate-resilient development avenues. At the same time, the many and varied funding streams constitute a considerable challenge for national financial systems. adelphi provides support in this area through analysis of Climate Finance Readiness of individual countries. Moreover, adelphi has developed a modular training concept – the Training Toolkit CLIFIT – which guides decision-makers systematically in the various aspects of climate finance. With its work on the role of the private sector in climate finance, adelphi is focusing on an issue of ever increasing international importance.
