Maren Tornow works as a Consultant at adelphi on the topic of sustainable consumption. To successfully avert climate change, actors from politics, business and society must work together on sustainable solutions. In order to contribute to a goal-oriented change, Maren deals with the question of which consumption patterns and lifestyles are necessary and with which means they can be promoted. Furthermore, her focus is on the sustainable design of global supply chains and the implementation of the circular economy.
"Consumers alone will not be able to implement all the changes necessary to reach the 1.5°C target of the Paris Agreement and to prevent the damaging impact of humans on the environment – politics and business must not ignore their responsibility. Nevertheless, it is important to educate consumers about the effects of their actions and to point out more sustainable consumption patterns and lifestyles. With my work at adelphi, I can contribute to this.”
