Dr. Till Sterzel is a Senior Advisor Climate Policy. As a scientist, consultant and trainer, he has been working on adapting systems to the impacts of global warming for 15 years. A primary focus of Till’s work are cities and SMEs. On behalf of ministries and international development cooperation, he leads data-driven analyses that determine the need for adaptation and risks, and works out strategies and measures that reduce those risks. Till is also an internationally experienced trainer in these areas.
“Urban systems are proof that climate risks are still underexposed and underestimated in international development cooperation. Through analyses and capacity building based on the latest scientific standards, I am helping establish sustainable climate risk management and its benefits more firmly in political decision-making and planning processes.”
