Daniel Högele leads the IT department at adelphi, which has more than 10 employees. As Head of IT, he is responsible for the complete planning, documentation and maintenance of the infrastructure as well as IT contract management. He carries out IT training, trains IT specialists and is also heavily involved in administration. He also acts as a competent consultant on all technical issues.
Daniel Högele has more than 25 years of professional experience in the support of heterogeneous IT systems and has various certifications (including MCSE) for his extensive range of tasks and activities. He likes to complement solid Microsoft environments (Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint) with open source solutions based on Linux and cloud applications. The documentation of the IT landscape and the execution of security checks and updates as well as compliance with data protection regulations, especially for publicly accessible systems, are a top priority for him, for which he has extensive expertise in GDPR topics. His activities also include coordinating the helpdesk. As part of adelphi’s project sponsorships, he is also responsible for IT for all branch offices of the working group on emissions trading, of the environmental auditors’ board, and of the International Carbon Action Partnership.
Daniel completed an apprenticeship in IT system electronics at Tixi.Com GmbH in Berlin, and worked there for twelve years as a system administrator and senior consultant. In his function as the contact person for OEM partners from industry and the energy sector, his responsibilities included project development, programming XML/HTML based systems, and 2nd level support. Beyond that, he has conceptualised and realised IT trainings in Germany and abroad.
