EMAS in Rechts- und Verwaltungsvorschriften

The European Union's Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) aims to help especially medium-sized and small companies to introduce environmental management processes. This can lead not only to better environmental performance but also to increased cost efficiency.

This brochure (available only in German) lists all legislative and administrative regulations in Germany, both federal and on a state level, as well as relevant EU legal acts that relate to the EMAS Regulation and to environmental verifiers. It is based on search analyses and monthly updates of the environmental information platform www.umwelt-online.de as well as the European online gateway to EU law EUR-Lex. It is complemented by additional research results.
