Climate Change, Conflict and Cooperation in Africa

The Scoping Seminar on 16 November 2012 in Addis Ababa aimed at initiating a broader regional dialogue in order to identify options for intensifying regional cooperation and minimising threats to peace and stability as well as development. It brought together over 20 regional and international experts, including representatives of the University for Peace, the Ethiopian Meteorological Agency, the EU Delegation to the AU, the Institute for Security Studies, the German Federal Foreign Office, and other EU foreign policy experts. This publication summarizes the presentations and discussion during the seminar.
