Overseas visit-cum-exposure dialogue – "Best Practices for Urban Renewal"

The overseas study trip, titled "Best Practices for Urban Development", was hosted in cooperation with the GTZ ASEM and took place 20-29 September 2009, in Berlin and Hamburg. During the excursion, 12 decision makers from the Indian ministries and community organisations participated.

The programme focused on urban development best-practice examples from both cities. Presentations and workshops were given on a variety of topics, including waste management, urban development and planning, integrated water management, climate protection, sustainable public transport and transport design.
