"Environment, Conflict, and Cooperation" is the title of an exhibition that was opened by Germany’s Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer on April 27, 2005, in the German Federal Foreign Office. The exhibition illustrates the far reaching social and political implications for topics such as climate change, water, minerals, land, and forests, and addresses ways in which environmental degradation and natural resources can lead to conflict and threaten security. Providing examples of water cooperation and nature conservation, the exhibition also illustrates the yet unexplored potential for conflict prevention and peacemaking through transboundary environmental cooperation and sustainable development.
The exhibition was conceived and realised by adelphi and Weltformat.Design at the initiative of the Federal Foreign Ministry. It aims at a broader audience.
