Based on the outcome of the evaluation of the FAST early warning programme of SwissPeace in 2006, adelphi supported the Swiss in the development of a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy to increase visibility and utility of the FAST "products", especially among FAST International donors. Furthermore, it defined how the programme can disseminate its products, engage with donors and approach potential new donors.
The communication strategy encompassed the following: 1) a strategic element, depicting the vision and specifying the aim of the strategy; and 2) concrete communication steps and sequences to be pursued by the Communication Manager and FAST Programme Director. The strategy therefore serves to reveal FAST’s communication practices to third parties, especially donors and to help organise the day-to-day communication and product placement in practice.
