Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Regionalprogramm Energiesicherheit und Klimawandel Subsahara-Afrika
Cascading risks caused by climate change impacts affect multiple sectors, such as water, food and land, energy or governance and need to be considered in processes regarding diplomacy, security and development.
adelphi provides Master's students from the Sub-Saharan Africa region with in-depth knowledge of climate foreign policy in the region and the rest of the world by enabling them to develop political solutions to different problems in a playful and interactive way, for example through a simulation of negotiations in the United Nations Security Council and/or other group exercises.
The long-term goal is to strengthen regional capacities and promote a critical examination of the risks exacerbated by the climate crisis and the options for action in this regard among potential junior diplomats at an early stage.
adelphi is developing a target group-specific training concept and implementing it in consultation with the client. adelphi is responsible for the pedagogical development and moderation of the online-based preparatory course, including close supervision of the participants. adelphi is also designing and conducting the final seminar.
