Scenarios on climate change and international security in Central and South America

The European Union aims at integrating the implications of climate change for security in its external policies. For this purpose, the EU commissioned a series of studies on different regions. The aim of the studies was to develop scenarios on potential implications of climate change for regional security.

adelphi was tasked to produce a study on Middle America. The results were integrated in the final report of the European Commission and Council Secretariat in late 2009 and provide policy recommendations for preventive measures in the region.
