On behalf of InWEnt’s training programme “Environmental Management in Arab Countries”, adelphi had organised a study tour that brought together opinion leaders and management trainees from Tunisia’s small and medium-sized companies in the chemical industry as well as participants from the National Chemical Association of Tunisia. The training programme aimed to ensure that through further educational workshops, it contributed to implementing Agenda 21 in sustainable economies.
As part of the expert study tour, participants became familiar with the fundamentals, principles, goals, stakeholders as well as the system and the role of the European Regulation REACH. Experts explained the regulation’s content in detail to the participants, and in turn, the participants shared their experiences with German authorities and companies. adelphi’s responsibilities included designing the exposure visit and executed it. This required selecting the programme and briefing the speakers, selecting the case studies, planning and conducting excursions, the moderation of expert interviews and the preparing project documents.
