WEEE Recycle: Making India's informal electronic waste recycling sector formal

Formalisation of the informal electrical and electronic waste recycling sector (e-waste) is the aim of the WEEE Recycle project which is implemented in four Indian cities. The project supports the informal sector workers in registering with the authorities and strengthening their business model. This has become necessary following the implementation of a new e-waste regulation in India which has the potential to significant alter the current e-waste recycling system.
