The World Bank’s State and Trends of Carbon Pricing 2024 Report Series

The State and Trends of Carbon Pricing series provides an up-to-date overview of existing and emerging carbon pricing instruments around the world, including international, national and subnational initiatives. It also analyses trends surrounding the development and implementation of carbon pricing instruments and some of the drivers seen over the past year. Specifically, this includes the use of carbon taxes, emissions trading systems, and crediting mechanisms.

International Carbon Markets Report

An update of the state-of-play and trends on international carbon crediting markets. The report offers a picture of the trends observed in the market as well as countries’ readiness for and implementation of international carbon markets.

The 2024 State and Trends Report will provide an overview of the existing and emerging carbon pricing initiatives around the world, focusing on the status, trends and drivers underpinning coverage, price and revenue in ETSs and carbon taxes, as well as market trends in carbon crediting markets.
