GIZ STILE II Bangladesch

The project examined the continuation of the technical cooperation module "Sustainability in the Textile and Leather Industry II" (STILE II) in Bangladesh. 
The aim of the assignment was to support the appraisal mission team in Bangladesh with technical advice and provide support in the preparation of a module proposal, including all associated annexes (gender analysis, integrated conflict and peace analysis, environmental assessment) and any other documents. 

Background info:

STILE II aimed to support the socio-ecological economic transformation in Bangladesh: Output 1 (macro level) was expected to aim at strengthening the technical and procedural competences of the Ministry of Commerce (MoC) in the area of policy coherence for a modernisation of the industrial sector in line with EU sustainability requirements. Output 2 (meso level) improved the range of support for industrial companies to modernise operational processes and systems, while Output 3 (micro level) sought to improve the foundations of sustainability management in the textile and clothing producers not yet exporting to the EU.
