Empowering Serbian Consultants: Development of Carbon Management Skills

For many companies in Serbia, measuring and managing their GHG emissions is not yet a priority. However, greater transparency on carbon emissions, management and sustainability data is increasingly important at least for companies exporting to the European Union. Many have to comply to EU environmental legislation or are paricipating in voluntary global and European initiatives. Customers also are becoming ever more aware of the environmental impacts of products and services and demand information and mitigation actions from companies. The private sector in Serbia needs to respond to these influencing factors and set up a carbon management system accordingly.

adelphi is supporting Serbian consultants to develop skills in measuring a company's corporate carbon footprint, setting science-based targets and developing a climate strategy. The project team provides customised in-person training and supports the consultants during their first assignments to apply and test the acquired knowledge through the development of new products and services.
