In this project, adelphi provided direct advice to the Korean Government on the design and implementation of the Korean Emissions Trading System. The project was embedded within a European Union-funded project led by ICF and aimed at enhancing cooperation between the EU and Korea on emissions trading. Acting as adelphi's experts in emissions trading, William Acworth and Constanze Haug provided guidance on the design and implementation of market stability provisions, economic modelling, and pathways and approaches to cooperation through emissions trading. The project included both strategic workshops with key Korean stakeholders as well as briefing papers for senior public officials.
