Susanne Konrad works as Consultant in the field of international climate policy. Her work focuses on providing recommendations in the area of greenhouse gas accounting, climate transparency and climate finance, in particular in the context of the Green Climate Fund.
Before joining adelphi, Susanne gained experience in international development cooperation at the UNEP DTU Partnership, a UNEP collaboration centre in Copenhagen. Here she was mainly concerned with capacity-building for climate transparency in developing countries within the framework of the Paris Climate Agreement, with a special focus on Southeast Asia. She also supported a global climate transparency platform, funded by the Global Environment Facility, and interacted with Climate Change Focal Points around the world. In cooperation with international organisations such as the World Bank and the UNFCCC, she also prepared Regional Climate Weeks on various continents. Previously, she gained experience at the Climate Change Expert Group of the OECD in Paris and the GIZ country office in Bangkok, where she assisted in the implementation of the Thailand Climate Change Master Plan.
Susanne holds an interdisciplinary Master in Climate Change (MSc.) from the University of Copenhagen with a special focus on climate policy. Before that she completed a Bachelor in International Forest Ecosystem Management (BSc.) at the University for Sustainable Development in Eberswalde, with a practical semester in the Killarney National Park in Ireland.
